History of Foundation

The New Testament Textual Studies Foundation is a non-profit group organized in 2000 (reinstated in 2006 as a nonprofit) for the promotion of study and research on the text of the New Testament. The foundation seeks to contribute to biblical scholarship, critical apparatuses of the Greek New Testament, and ministry in local churches through the education of the transmission and history of the Bible. The foundation is guided by a Board of Directors consisting of 5 members from a variety of backgrounds (pastors, professors, administrators, and authors). The foundation consist of several staff members overseeing  research projects, educational/congregational programing, and funding.

Mission and Goals

The goal of the foundation is to promote NT textual scholarship and opportunities to share the importance of the texts of the NT with local churches. We hope to inspire a new generation of parishioners and scholars dedicated to the study of the NT Greek text.
In terms of textual scholarship, the foundation provides access to NT manuscript resources, develops aids for those working in the field of NT textual criticism, works with current efforts in the field of NT textual studies in order to provide access to texts and textual data as feasible, aids in the integration of technology with the study of NT manuscripts, and assists in the task of collecting and collating manuscript data.

In relation to the local church, the foundation seeks to serve and minister to churches  and her members through discussion, presentations, and proclamation. For examples, see our programs.

Partners and Collaboration

No work can be done alone. The NTTSF partners and collaborates with multiple institutions, organizations, and non-profits, such as International Greek New Testament Project, Institut für Neutestamentliche Textforschung, Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts, and Green Scholars Initiative.
